On the Side #13: Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Fresh cranberries, fresh orange and easy to make?? You'll never go back to canned cranberry sauce again!

- Recipe -

  ● (12-ounce) bag cranberries

  ● 1-1/4 cup sugar

  ● Zest & Juice of 1 orange

1. Bring cranberries, sugar, orange zest and juice to boil in a saucepan over medium- high heat. Stir occasionally for about 5 minutes.

2. As the cranberries begin to boil, reduce the heat to low and keep stirring for about 2 minutes. (The sauce will begin to thicken and most of the cranberries will pop open.) Remove the pan from the heat and let the cranberries cool to room temperature.

3. Spoon the sauce into a container and refrigerate.

Note: This cranberry sauce can be made days in advance and kept in the refrigerator. When you're ready to serve them, spoon them out into a serving dish and let come to room temperature, about 30-45 minutes.
