Farmers' Market Gourmet #3: Veggie Saute

Fresh veggies cooked this way are just delicious!

● 1-2 lb. veggies (asparagus, string beans, carrots, onions, greens, squash, peas, etc…)


● 2 T. olive oil

● 1 clove garlic, sliced

● pinch of Red pepper flakes

● Kosher salt

● Freshly ground black pepper


Prepare the vegetables and garlic.

Warm the olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes in a large saute pan over a medium heat. When the garlic starts to sizzle, add veggies. Cook for approximately 7 to 10 minutes, moving the veggies around, until a bit of color starts appearing on the vegetables. Sprinkle with salt & pepper and serve hot.

Note: If you stop cooking the vegetables a minute or two before they are done, you can pull the pan off the heat, place a lid on top and let them steam for a couple of minutes.
