Daily Bread #15: Cinnamon Roll Biscuits

A sweet and delicious biscuit that's quick and easy to make for breakfast!

- Recipe -

● 2 cups flour

● 2 t. sugar

● 2 t. baking powder

● 1/2 t. salt

● 1/2 cup heavy cream

● 3/4 cup milk

● 1 T. butter, melted

● 2 T. brown sugar

● 2 t. cinnamon

Glaze:

● 1 T. butter, melted

● 1/2 cup powdered sugar

● 2 T. milk

● dash vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 425 ̊F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.

1. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. Add the cream and milk. Stir until dough forms. Place dough on floured board and knead until smooth.

2. Press dough out into a 9x12-inch rectangle.

3. Brush surface of dough with melted butter. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle evenly on top of the dough. Starting with long edge closest to you, roll the dough into a log. Cut into 8 rounds, flatten each biscuit with your hand, and place on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.

4. While biscuits are baking, mix together the butter, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Spread glaze over hot biscuits.
